John Parker
Toronto City Councillor for Ward 26 (Don Valley West). Elected to Toronto City Council in 2006 and re-elected in 2010. Serves as TTC commissioner, Deputy Speaker of Toronto City Council, and Vice-Chair of North York Community Council.
Represents the City of Toronto on the boards of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, and Campbell House.
Served as a lawyer with a downtown Toronto law firm and with the legal department of a major Canadian industrial corporation. Was a member of the Ontario Legislature from 1995 to 1999, serving as the last ever MPP for York East. Is a founding director of the Ontario Association of Former Parliamentarians.
Born and raised in Toronto. Graduate of University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School. Lives in Ward 26 with his wife Beth and their family.
